AWARDS


DICKINSON ESTATE Wines received fantastic results for our wines at both the 2014 and 2015 Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International
Wine and Spirit Competitions.

2014

There were over 1,500 entries from 35 countries.  The wines were assessed by 22 wine judges over 5 days.  All of the wine judges were either born in Asia or live there and are key influencers in the Asian Wine market.

DICKINSON ESTATE Wines entered 4 wines in the general wine section and were awarded 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze.  The 4 wines were also entered in the Wine and Food matching section of the Show to win a Gold Medal and Trophy for the “Best Wine with Cantonese Dim Sum” for our 2014 Chardonay.  The same wine won a Silver Medal when paired with Kung Pao Chicken.  The 2014 Sauvignon Blanc was awarded 3 Silver Medals for pairing with popular Asian dishes Pad Thai, Sashimi and Tempura Shrimp.  Our 2013 Shiraz which was awarded a Silver Medal in the general wine section also won 2 Bronze Medals when paired with Braised Abalone and Peking Duck. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon was entered in just the one food matching class, winning a Bronze Medal when paired with the Braised Abalone Dish.

OTHER MEDALS

The 2013 DICKINSON ESTATE  Shiraz  Bronze Medal at the Royal Melbourne 2014 Wine Awards in the “Jimmy Watson” Class.

Wine Showcase Magazine – New Release Tasting Results June 2015:

2013 Cabernet Sauvignon 94 points GOLD Medal.

2014 Sauvignon Blanc 91 points SILVER Medal.

2013 Shiraz 89 points SILVER Medal.

DICKINSON ESTATE Wines entered their 5 wines in the general wine section and were awarded 3 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals.

The 5 wines were also entered in the wine and food pairing section of the competition, matched with 5 separate Asian dishes, the wines won medals in every pairing with the standout result being for the 2014 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc, paired with Chinese Hainan Chicken where it won a Gold Medal and the Trophy.
